Hey I’m new here but I recently bought a used 5 knob memory man. It worked great for the first few weeks but now will not let any sound come through no matter if its on or off. The pedal lights up but will not allow any signal to come through at all on or off. It has a EC 2002 board. Anyone ever experience this problem or have any ideas on a fix?
Have you checked all the wires are properly connected inside? Otherwise a schematic and a multimeter will be required.
Yeah I don’t see any cold solder joints or anything like that
Okay, can you follow a schematic?
Build your self the audio probe from this page http://www.diystompboxes.com/wiki/index.php?title=Debugging
Check you have signal at the left side of the .1 cap coming from the input, then check pin 1 of IC1A and the outside lugs of the blend pot to start with.
Does the direct output work? It might be the foot switch, you can use a multimeter to test it for continuity.

Thanks. I’ll get a meter and check this. It may be the footswitch. The direct out doesn’t work either. The light goes off and on with the footswitch but I’ll check it with a meter as well
Oh it has the on/off LED rather than the power LED, that schematic is slightly different then, the direct output connects directly to the input jack…
Could be your lead (seems obvious but had that one before) the foot switch, the input jack its self, a loose ground or something causing a short.
I recall helping someone debug the same model as yours and they had issues with the ground wire that was connected to the blend pot in there unit, could be something to look at after ruling out the foot switch.
