Hi!
I tried to use a Zoom 9V/300mA Dc supply for my MB and it doesn’t work… DOes any anybody know the reason why?
thanks
i dont see why? i have a zoom drum machine and once in a while when i need sum thing quick just to test sum thing i use its power cord on my pedals, ive never had a problem.
my unit is from a drum machine to. It works well with my proco rat, a tc elec tuner or a stereo pulsar. But it doesn’t with the MB….
do you know if your MB works with other power cords? hopefully nothing is wrong with the power jack on your unit.
The unit works well with its own dc power. With the zoom one, only the LED is on when the effect is engaged. I can hear the “normal” sound but no delay at all while the other effects works normaly. Is there any “hi” voltage protection on this unit? I measured the voltage the dc power when nothing is pluged in: it’s about 12/13V… You only have 9V when the current is 300mA. This is a bad tension source….
I found my #1 Echo ONLY works with the PWR supply that came with it! Anything else will make it behave funny… And that’s what held me back from getting a Memory Boy! But I’m considering a Memory Toy for its tolerance to different PWR Supplies (hope so…I guess… )
It should be a regulated 9.6vdc ps for the mb, I think at 45mA, but I’m not sure
