So i finally got my memory boy today, and also today i found out electro harmonix is coming out with the deluxe memory boy so im kinda on the fence about the whole deal. i do love the sound of this pedal very warm and musical. i also love that its true bypass being im going with all true by pass on my board. im really not used to using a delay without a tap tempo. any one got any good tips for using an analog delay with out a tap? like examples of how ou guys use them. also i kind of noticed the delay isnt at the full 550ms i mean some times it is but is that just because it needs to warm up every time you move the dalay knob? because it seems im stuck in slapback territory up untill i reach the 3oclock any one got any suggestions? i thought it was kinda lame that you have to just use the elctro harmonix adaptor or a 9.6V anyways i found with my one spot the repetes actually detuned the sound of my guitar like as if the vibrato was on even tho the depth knob was allthe way down. all in all it is a wonderfull sounding pedal i love it i would love it even more if some of you more experienced people with this pedal can give me some advise suggestions etc thanks!
All I can say is that I really like the Memory Boy but it
has a mind of it’s own.
I’ve had mine for a few months & it always surprises me. I
never expect it to do the same thing twice – it’s alive :worried:
