    Hi,

I have a problem not easy to describe because it is not always present, but yesterday it was sufficient that I should remove my pedal from my setup. If I’m getting some dirt into the signal from time to time, this time the sound level varied continuously from very low to normal, but unpredictably. I tried other cables, moved from the loop to the front the pedal and the problem was the same. I’m using a regular Boss AC adapter and it works fine if i use it with another stomp.
Any idea what could be the problem?

    Thanks,
    rw

Constant fluctuation of sound level is usually down to a loose connection somewhere, most often a cable, but as you’ve eliminated that possibility it’s likely the input or output of the pedal. This sort of thing also happens when you have a dodgey power rail shorting to somewhere it shouldn’t be.

I wouldn’t recommend opening it up yourself, it’s a damn complex pedal that one. I’d say contact EHX and see if they can do a repair for you.

It could be something around the socket in or out, I will try to clean them 1st.
Still that I found strange that problem seems to happen more easily when my guitar rig is cold and since that the MM sit over my Mesa combo, so after 1/2 hour the problem appear to be gone. I just hope that is not a small IC or something like that going mad!
    Thank you for the input.

    rw
