Just got my first EHX pedal, the Mel9. I read somewhere there’s supposed to be two versions. If this is correct, how do I know which one I have?
Anyway, I’ve noticed the footswitch takes a much harder stomp than my other pedals, and seems to make quite a loud acoustic CLICK. Sounds like a huge hole puncher going through too much paper than it can handle. Is there a way in which I can alter it so it reacts to softer stomps, and doesn’t make so much racket that it distracts me?
Thanks.
I have a few ‘9’s B9,C9, etc except Mel9 – I’m not aware there are 2 versions.
Maybe a footswitch topper will make it easier to step on ?
I don’t think so. Its the amount of force I have to put on the footswitch in order to force it to switch on/off, and the clock is so loud, I now just leave the pedal turned on all the time and unplug the PSU when not in use. What I would like to do is replace the footswitch. I just don’t know which one to buy.
