All played through a hybrid Laney. The noise in the background is my computers fan – I haven’t cleaned it for ages. The guitar is in C#, a bit out of tune – I was messing with the intonation a day before.
Ha, thanks When you were talking about the muff sound, were you talking about the muff-into-qtron thing, or just the muff? Or were you talking about the metal muff?

You get some great crazy sounds there – What did you use for the blue box frenzy? I loved the sound of that in particular (and the post Q-tron was cool too)
You get some nice muff sounds. How close is your recorded sound to your live in person sound?
When I record my fuzz sounds are usually far dirtier than they are in person. But I have a line/recording out on my amp, so the speakers and power amp don’t enter into the equation. They work to smooth out the sound I think.
For the Blue Box frenzy it was guitar->Micro QTron (it was in bypass until the very end)->Blue Box->amp with slight overdrive.
I guess line-outs are not as great as advertised… I didn’t experiment with any mic positions and stuff, but it turned out pretty good – and the sounds are very close to what you hear in person (except the Metal Muff, I EQ’d it slightly in Adobe Audition – the recording was a bit too loud, so I thought I might EQ it as well to give it more punch), I guess with some processing they can be brought even closer.
And the Laney is a nice amp, despite it being not tube
Thx for the responses.
