Years ago i had to replace the transistor in a vintage LPB-1. at the time the only replacement i could find was a universal replacement and i saw that it was the replacement for like 30 different transistors -so i knew that the pedal’s original transistor had to be more specialized than the universal replacement. it just stopped working properly. i remember hearing a audible difference when i replaced out the transistor.

please tell me the particular transistor i need for an LPB-1 and hopefully where i can obtain one. i would really like to have the proper one in the pedal. thank you!

It’s hard to say. The LPB-1 could have fs36999, fs37000, 2N5133, or even 2N5088 depending on when it was made.
