I was under the impression that the lpb-1 would simply boost a signal. I use synth and other digital device, as well as mic, and was hoping that plugin the pedal between the instrument and the digital recorder would boost the signal.
It doesn’t seems to work this way though, and I don’t have an electric guitar to test it. I am just wondering if I am using the device properly, or my pedal is a dud.
What I tried:
Cell phone jack out -> in lpb-1 -> in my vs-1880 recorder
When in bypass I can hear the cellphone music, when I activate the pedal nothing comes out.
Synth mono jack out -> in lpb-1 -> in my vs-1880 recorder
When in bypass I can hear my synth, when activated, I hear the sound really attenuated
Does the pedal need a high-z or whatever an electric guitar output to be boosted? Am I doing something wrong or do I have a broken pedal?
FIRST EDIT
I’ve tried it with a battery and without a battery – connected to the wall, with an EHX power supply with the negative in the center.
SECOND EDIT
Attached an image of the board. In higher resolution here:
No the signal should have tons of gain.
Please write the techs on Monday.
They can help you.
Or if the pedal is brand new please exchange it if you can.
