    Hello,

I’d like to use the 95000 as a wav. files reader for pre-recorded backing-tracks to play with in a live situation.
But we need the looper to send us a tempo before starting/playing the song ! Does it send a precount (Count-in) metronome in Play mode ? Thank you very much

When the 95000 is the MIDI Clock master, it always sends out MIDI Clock messages, even if it is not playing.

Say you have two loops at different tempos, for example, LOOP 11 is at 110 BPM and LOOP 12 is at 134 BPM. When the 95000 is set to LOOP 11, it sends out a MIDI Clock tempo of 110 BPM. When you change to LOOP 12, the 95000 automatically changes its MIDI Clock output tempo to 134 BPM, even before you press play on the 95000.

To answer your question more directly, the 95000 does not have a count-in when playing back only

You could build a bar of precount into the wav files that you export to the 95000. Add a silent bar of audio before your actual starts playing. When you press play on the 95000, the 95000 will send out a MIDI Start message and MIDI Clock at the correct tempo while the 95000 is silent.

Thank you very much for answering.

As the Midi clock is always sent (even when the 95000 is iddle), perhaps we could link a simple drum machine by Midi and plug an headphone in it to hear the tempo !
For the second part of your answer, I’m not sure I understood clearly…because if I record a Bar of precount (or a bar of silence), everytime the track loops we’re gonna hear this precount or silence, even in the middle of a song ! ??
    Regards

This should work but you’ll have to try it. The drum machine might need a MIDI Start command to get going the first time. The 95000 sends out a MIDI Start command when you press play to begin playing a loop. It will also send a MIDI Start command when you press the NEW LOOP button.

Yes, you’re right about this. I wasn’t sure if the entire song length is on the 95000 or just some number of bars. But you’re right, if you’re looping just part of the song then you can’t add a bar of silence for pre-count.
