Today is a sad day in history. Legendary Les Paul has passed away.
Here is a picture of Les Paul and Mike Matthews, the founder of Electro Harmonix. Two regular guys hanging out. Two regular guys who changed music forever.
We’ll miss you very much Les!
I heard earlier this morning…the more I thought about it the more of an impact it is making on me. Jimmy Page, yeah cherry burst, he played one, Frampton, wow 3 pick up Black Beauty, Ace Frehley, cherry sunburst, that was him too. The cover of Boston’s first album. I could go on and on and on. His impact is magnificent. Nearly all the axe slingers that I stared at on countless album covers and liner notes as a kid…it doesn’t even matter what genre I developed into…there will never be any denying that lasting image of the single cutaway…one of the main things I always drooled over was and now is his legacy…This doesn’t even touch upon multi-track recording…WOW!!
Rest in Peace and Go With God
Les Paul
Peace

Very,very sad day.
I was lucky enough to meet him earlier this year. he was such a great inventer and musician and really changed music and the guitar.
I just read the news on the net, a very sad day indeed. My LP will be my number one for the gig tomorrow. Thank you Les!
A sad day, but a day to think about Les, he played music until he was 92 and 100 years from now will be remembered as a pioneer in the industry. He had a long life we should all be so lucky, I just hope I can still play as I continue to age.
The father of the Rock Gearhead. You will be missed.
my awesome earth science teacher jammed with him every month in nyc in the 80s or something awesome like that
