I have a 1978 Electric Mistress (two 9V) with the EH 5200-1C circuit board. I’m trying to raise this pedal from the dead and re-live some of my 70s glory years. I’m looking for layout photos of the circuit board and all connections for his version. I do have detailed photos of the EH 5100-D but it’s quite a bit different than the 5200. A good schematic would also help.

Looking closely you will all notice the pot leads on the 5200 board are bent around and soldered directly to the runs on the back side of the board. Also notice the Rate and Color pots wrap around from the side of the boardbefore being soldered to the back. On the 5100 board the pot leads run through holes on the board and soldered to the back. It looks like the EMF underwent a major board revision between the 5100 and 5200. Not sure what year that would have occured. I purchased this unit new in 1978 from Music Emporium, if I remember correctly was located in NJ. Does anyone have this revision EMF and if so may I have photos of the board connections.

January 22, 2010 at 1:01 am #106687anoushParticipantI just bought a1979 Electric Mistress on E-bay. It has EH 5100 D, and I think there maybe some mods done to it. Maybe I’m wrong but I can see some solder joints on the board where one of the chips is sitting. Can someone please post the pix of the EH 5100 D circuit board? I would like to compare mine to an original one. Also there is a significant volume drop when I turn the pedal on, is that normal?
September 18, 2010 at 9:38 pm #111488dmc777MemberBump. Anyone have one of these 5200 boards or even an original EM so I can see some gut shots? I just got one like this with the pots wrapped around the side and I’d like to try to get it fixed and figure out what the differences are. Thanks in advance.
