Hi friends!

Lana Lee’s new recording is a new experimental volume. Featuring a single 30-minute track (with eleven internal subdivisions) that paids a little tribute to some B-movies such as “The Stuff” (directed by Larry Cohen, 1985) and Roman Polanski’s “Rosemary’s Baby”, we have constructed a plot that explores dark, droning sounds, washes of delay feedbacks, plooding rhythms, heavy fuzz bass lines, some doom riffing and certain scorching leads.

As devoted users of EHX stompboxes, the units that have been used for this recording are the following:

– 1978 Big Muff (Op-amp v5) for distorted bass drones (parts 2, 4, 5, 6 & 7) and doom guitar riff (part 11).
– EHX Small Stone v1 for arpeggiated clean guitar (parts 2 & 4).
– EHX Frequency Analyzer (big box RI) used for distorted bass drones (parts 2, 4, 5, 6 & 7) and pitch-shifting noise (part 10).
– USA Big Muff RI’s (v9, EH-3003 rev. A & rev. E) for guitar leads (parts 5 & 10)
– 1979 4-knob Blue DMM + Q-Tron (big box RI, early 2000’s) used on certain bass lines (parts 5, 10 & 11).
– 1975 Octave Multiplexer for distorted bass lines (parts 7 & 11).
– 5-knob DMM reissue (some guitar parts along the entire track).
– EHX Holier Grail (reverb guitar on part 1).
– EHX 16 Second Digital Delay as the original source for sampled parts – (when transferred to the recording project, they were sometimes tweaked on the fly by using the pitch slider, forward/reverse switch, etc.)

In addition, other units that have been used on this recording are the following: MXR Blue Box (combined with Big Muffs), MXR Distortion + (bass), Fulltone’70 (bass & guitar), older Boss pedals (DD-2, RV-3), Boss DD-7 among others.

* Amplifiers: Sovtek MiG 100 & MiG 100H (guitar) & Ampeg B2-RE (bass).

* Guitars: Fender Stratocaster, Fender Jazzmasters (featuring E, D & C standard tunings).

* Basses: Fender Marcus Miller Jazz Bass & Peavey T-40.

* Drums: Pearl. Cymbals: Assorted Paiste & Sabian.
