    John Frusciante officially left RHCP today

    i’m so sad right now. i knew there were rumors, but i was waiting for the official confirmation. i dont even know what to say. but i do respect his decision because it is his choice weather to be in or out of the band.

    what are your thoughts on this??

    That it sucks. Who they’ll call now? Also I was waiting for a new album. Oh, don’t know what to expect.

    I have seen RHCP many times. The last time I saw them (last year) John WAS the RHCP. He had kind of become the personality of the band rather than Antony/Flea. They have always survived line up changes, however I just don’t know if there can be a RHCP without John anymore. More recently, live and in the studio, it seems to be his vehicle.

    i’ve never had the chance to see them live before. and knowing that i’ll never be able to see them with John there, makes me the saddest.

    yeah he brings everything to their music…..without him they are pretty much a novelty band with an impressive bass player!

    I saw them first in 1990! The Mother’s Milk tour.

    I still have the T Shirt! (in fact I still wear the T shirt !!! lol)

    yeah, i heard it already :( it sucks big time

    BUT it’s only for good that their last album is the awesome Stadium arcadium… at least they didn’t get to screw it up with a bad album

    i never heard his albums, but i just love those latest RHCP albums… By the way, californication, One hot minute (even withou Frusciante, it has IMHo one of the best peppers song – Aeroplane :) ) and SA

    i heard rumors about them thinking about continuing without him… it’s rumors, ok? :D

    i have to say that the albums i listed i love because of the guitar… without his beautiful effects work and knowing exactly what to play, peppers won’t be the same

    (by the way… that was the problem with Navarro… he didn’t know what really fits the peppers concept

    Apparently he’s going to tour with WIRE. That could be interesting. I like WIRE a lot more than I like RHCP. A LOT more.

    so, apparently Dave Navarro is going to replace John again. but this is from wikipedia and its not cited so i’m not sure if its true. i really hope its not though.

    Yeah, Chad plays in Chickenfoot… they don’T sound bad and it’s really interesting how Joe Satriani knows what to play in a normal rock band :) that he’s not overpowering the band… awesome

    anyway… Navarro again? no thanks… but if they’re gonna continue, i’ll listen to the new album. At least once… we’ll see
