Hi guys, I simply LOVE the Iron Lung but I’ve noticed that the lack of a balanced (and separate) output for the mic signal can give some noise/hiss issues, especially on complex signal chains.
I’ve done a comparison with a bigger vocoder pedal (the VoiceBox) and I encountered no such problems. But both the VoiceBox (and the V256 too) are packed with features that might be a tad overkill, in some situations… (and they inevitably rise the price tag).
So I thought that maybe a “deluxe” version of the “meat-and-potatoes” vocoder which is the Iron Lung, with just an added balanced output for the vocal signal, could be the perfect compromise between flexibility and cheapness!
