Yeah, sorry, a few folks have asked — Riddle & Enigma are both all analog — I’ll have to go make that more clear on their pages.

And I’ll also have to add more info about the expression pedal — you can control the filter sweep with your foot via an expression pedal controller — and so, given the Riddle/Enigma’s ability to adjust Q, sweep range, filter type, you also wind up with a very versatile wah…

Which expression pedal would you recommend, Scott, or will an EHX expression pedal be coming out in the near future, considering the number of EHX XOs which can be hooked up to one now?

Here’s an idea: EH expression pedal with built in LFO. When you hit the switch (crybaby toe down style) it would switch from expression pedal to LFO mode. A rotary switch would switch from sample and hold, sine, triangle, square, and sawtooth. Then the expression pedal could be switched between controlling depth or speed.

This is a pretty good description of the heavily modded vintage Memory Man I have which has wave selection and sample and hold functions added, with a vintage EHX Hot Foot used as expression pedal as well as having its two top mounted foot switches modded to turn the LFOs on and off.
I had the Memory Man customised by an electronics doctor in Paris who handled all my equipment so only he knows exactly how he managed it. It still works brilliantly although somewhat hissy on the long delay setting, however that could be simply a matter of renewing a few parts since the pedal has been in use for over thirty years.

ehx don’t usually post stuff in the blog until very close to shops getting them, I suspect they are probably being shipped out now or very very soon. (this week maybe?)
