and bring back the wahs! With a full frequency sweep so it is bass-friendly.
February 4, 2009 at 3:48 am #92641julianModeratorEHX Melody Box-
Polyphonic pitch pedal that plays in mono along with you. Can be set to do bass lines or melodies. Expression controllable maybe so that you can have some control over how it’s playing the melody.
February 5, 2009 at 4:38 am #92694julianModeratorSo after a long day going to work, coming home, watching hockey, I’ve got nothing to do but sit and listen to music.
So, because I love this thread, I’m going to compile a list of pedals that have been suggested in here. (I nixed a few because of the forth coming Memory Boy and Screaming Bird.) Maybe this warrants its own thread. If I add non pedal ideas too that people have posted.

2 footswitch small preset pedal for HOGFebruary 5, 2009 at 5:48 am #92698Fbanks88Member…..yeah sounds about right. lol guess you guys have your work cut out for the next mmmmm couple years.
If you guys are interested I have a PCB designed, Schematic, and Parts list for a Sample Hold i’ve concoctedFebruary 5, 2009 at 5:51 am #92699julianModeratorI’m an admin but I don’t work for EHX. If I did I don’t think I’d be allowed to post my ideas in here.
February 5, 2009 at 5:58 am #92700Fbanks88MemberOOOooooo Ok lol. but maybe they’ll get ideas from here ya know,…. but in that video from boing boing the engineer said that mike usually comes up with the ideas… hmmmm
February 5, 2009 at 6:16 am #92701julianModeratorAdmins who work for EHX have (EHX Staff) next to their name.
Mike does have an account here. I don’t know if he looks in this forum or not, he’s only posted in the news forum. But several other guys do. So maybe.

February 5, 2009 at 11:46 am #92711BlueSteelParticipantIm sure they will see this thread and see that a lot of people have some good ideas and they may make them.
February 5, 2009 at 12:14 pm #92712GoldengloveMemberjulian, you didn’t see my idea – it was a digital pedal which takes the highest peaks of the signal waveform, and replaces them with something new. Lots of controls and stuff
February 5, 2009 at 2:17 pm #92715Fbanks88MemberNow that sounds like an interesting pedal! Almost more like a sonic experiment. ….Hey if it works it could also be made for a modular synth too maybe.
February 5, 2009 at 5:19 pm #92722GoldengloveMemberI think it could be made more ‘digital’ (so to speak) than the SMM w/H, like having a display and allowing users to load their own replacement waveforms – like, maybe, 40 EHX waveforms, 40 user waveforms?
February 5, 2009 at 6:13 pm #92723Fender&EHX4everModeratorAssignable Pitch Effector (APE) – This digital box will allow you to assign any 2 effects loops to specific pitches in your performance, just in case you want your Gs and Cs to have tremelo, and your Es and Bs to have delay, or vice versa. Put some serious monkey-business in your music.
Cut Up Technique (CUT) – This digital delay box would make William Burroughs write a sequel to Naked Lunch. It will sample a pre-determined length of your performance (set by a knob or an optional expression pedal), then splice up the performance (in increments preset by a fragment-size knob) and play it back for you in a random sequence, sometimes in reverse. Indeed, chaos reigns whenever it rains…
BTW – have I mentioned that I would love a tube driven tape delay/flanger that uses cassette tapes :poke: Possible name: The MemoryPlex ?, The Echo Hoax ?
February 5, 2009 at 7:09 pm #92728GoldengloveMemberMaybe an envelope filter which sweeps the entire audible range?
A Metal Muff 2, which would give more of a Rectifier-type sound?
An LPB-2: switchable input capacitor, switchable diode clipping, switchable crossover distortion circuit, voltage knob?February 5, 2009 at 9:50 pm #92735echobaseoneMemberI’d be interested to see some sort of Frequency Step Pedal from EHX, like the Zvex Seek Wah, but with more tweakable parameters.
