Thought I should post this – seems to be the most current wishlist.

[img][/img]December 20, 2008 at 3:17 am #89248MINGMemberI sound like a broken record, but I would like to see a dedicated EHX Uni-Vibe pedal.
December 21, 2008 at 4:35 am #89342nneekolasParticipantI’d love to see an XO PolyChorus!

I’m talking chorus, flanger, delay, tremolo, vibe, etc. Imagine a bass, rhythm and lead guitar with all of their effects tightly synced. If these pedals existed, tap tempo would be the perfect addition for the ultimate versatility. Like I said, I don’t know if anyone would care about this or if it’s even possible in a profitable manner, but I thought I’d throw it out there. Cheers.Build in a MIDI-sync perhaps? That strikes me as one of the simpler solutions, as then you can maintain a continuous change in effect speed rather than it jumping between increments.
As far as stuff I’d like to see,
-Instrument vocoder – essentially like the Frantone Glacier’s line-in effect, but affordable and done EHX style.-a lot of people seem to want a tuner. I’m not particularly keen on the idea, as to me a tuner is relatively trivial, but what about an auto-tune stompbox? I know the effect is overused, but I can still see some interesting possibilities (auto-tune fretless bass or slide guitar anyone?)
-freeze pedal – takes a short sample of the sound being played at the moment the pedal is depressed and replays it until the pedal is released (or maybe have it tap-on/tap-off), to much the same effect as the sostenuto pedal on a keyboard
That all I can pull off the top of my head.

You can do a simple mod for the frequency analyzer to do what the Glacier does.
December 21, 2008 at 2:35 pm #89365McSpunckleMemberI think it would be cool if, when they shrink the pedals, they still used normal-sized components. We know it’s possible because of the clones on the market. It would keep us modders happy.
Also, I think it would be neat if they made shiney, but smaller housing. Granted, they wouldn’t be as tough, but given their size, there wouldn’t be much room for the enclosure to bend anyways.
ANYWAYS… enough of that “it would be cool if…” stuff.
My real suggestions:
A real, analog Electric Mistress– perhaps in the bigger XO housing.
XO Memory Man… an analog one. With expression controlled “feedback”, maybe?!
A nano true-bypass looper.
Ermm… that’s all I got now.
December 21, 2008 at 5:47 pm #89369ChumleyParticipantI think a couple of pedals, or one or two multi-effects, targeted at keyboardists, would be amazing.
-Ring Mod/Overdrive. As a Rhodes player, I would be all over that.
-Delay/Reverb. Preferably digital, with a 5 seconds+ delay time and as many knobs as possible. Like a slightly expanded #1, or a Hazarai without the looping.
Between those two, and a Worm, I would be pretty much set. Also, EHX’s take on a chopper, like the Boss SL-20.

December 21, 2008 at 6:42 pm #89377julianModeratorI’d like a Deluxe Frequency Analyzer
SMMH size
steel brushed for shininess
Carrier in for alternate sources
CV/Expression for both the blend and the shift
the filter has a dedicated footswitch
A built in 3 knob chorus that is in series with it. Flip switch to bypass it.December 21, 2008 at 11:11 pm #89405TangoMemberQuote:You can do a simple mod for the frequency analyzer to do what the Glacier does. How? Link or instructions would be nice.

look for the frequency analyzer mod
it’s really simpleDecember 21, 2008 at 11:29 pm #89414TangoMemberCool, thanks.
December 22, 2008 at 10:22 am #89456nneekolasParticipantSo here’s a question for anyone in the know:
When a pedal like the Micro Synthesizer, for example, is changed to a lower voltage (24V to 9V) is this fundamentally reducing or changing the circuit’s sound? I like the smaller casing and it’s more convenient to use a regular 9V connection, but is changing the power changing the pedal?
