i would like to see some photo eye experinmentation… delay, phase, flange etc.
September 28, 2009 at 7:00 am #101839hundirlaflotaMemberI’m thinking about a Nano LPB-2ube, or Nano English Muffin, with only one tube, or if it doesn’t fit in a Nano enclosure, the next small XO box (the Memory Boy, Little Big Muff etc. one) would be OK, something like the Zendrive II.
Because I love EHX tube pedals but god they’re big!September 29, 2009 at 9:49 am #101863vulturepianoMemberQuote:I’m thinking about a Nano LPB-2ube, or Nano English Muffin, with only one tube, or if it doesn’t fit in a Nano enclosure, the next small XO box (the Memory Boy, Little Big Muff etc. one) would be OK, something like the Zendrive II.

:facepalm:I have a nano SS, but I dont like input output jacks directly mounted on the pcb.
February 15, 2010 at 11:19 pm #107540julianModeratorXo pedals have jacks directly mounted on the PCB as well.
February 16, 2010 at 6:31 pm #107568HainoMemberhmm still thinking of ideas guys, i agree with the input/ outputs on the pcbs
but im thinking the small stone should be modelled after the xo memory boy
not the pocket one but the larger one and it should have a feedback nob and a tingle distortion switch to go with it.i havent figured out my photoshop program to fully design some of these pedals but i can probably design one on paper and scan it and then send it to you guys.
good luck gentlemen.
take care.
HainoFebruary 16, 2010 at 6:57 pm #107569Mr.GrimMemberdude that screaming mole muff isn’t to for fetched, i mean i honestly don’t see EH producing them any time soon, but for DIY’ers out there why not? i am currently in production of a project i mentioned in another post that i called the “short bus” that when completed (soon) i will unveil here in these forums. its basically the same idea but based on different effects than what you mentioned.
and also in reply to ChrisFFTA i am in production of a photo eye expression pedal (usable with most if not all pedals with an expression out jack) that i will eventually sell on ebay, as i see that no one is currently in production of one, but i see a couple people would like to use one and dont know how to make one.
February 16, 2010 at 11:48 pm #107601julianModeratorMr. Grim, if you use two photocells and wire one from TIP to RING and one from SLEEVE to TIP, it will work a lot better than just using one. You’ll get a much much better range.
February 17, 2010 at 4:54 am #107611Mr.GrimMemberthanks Julian, but i have all ready tested that idea and it is being implemented in a deluxe version with more controls.

What photocells are you using?
I use photocells in the aforementioned set-up for digital to analog conversion for a pedal I’ve been designing. I was using Silonex TO-5, but I’m going to try out the 10k Futurlec ones and see if I can get the same range with them.
February 17, 2010 at 6:33 pm #107626HainoMemberWOW IS THAT PEDAL SOME KIND OF OPTICALLY CONTROLLED PEDAL USING YOUR EYE AS MOVEMENT TO CHANGE YOUR SOUND?
COOL OR AM I WAY OFF BASE HERE?
