    I have bought 4 vintage EHX products over the past 2 months. Today, I bought a modern Russian Big Muff and NYC Big Muff. Granted, it only cost me $110 for both(Russian=new/NYC=used), but I am already in the process of buying my next ones. I may go to the local shop and buy a Russian Small Stone, and I am trying to acquire a vintage Small Stone from another source. AND…I want a Small Clone. I really think I need help with this addiction!

    BTW, if anyone knows where I can get a Muff Fuzz for a good price, let me know!

    i think this happens to everyone. you just need to stay calm, and fight the urge to buy a new pedal. and hide your money so you wont have any to buy pedals. :D

    these pedals are a lot like drugs. once you get one, theres no stopping.

    Yeah, pretty much, I just own a russian muff, but because I can’t afford anything else. Since I want to buy a guitar, I’ll save up my money.

    That is the problem, I have bought 4 guitars in the past year, a new amp last month and 13 pedals total. I am not breaking the bank and I’m divorced so I don’t have a wife to spend all my money anymore, but man, I need to stop buying and double up on my playing! I’m done with muffs for a while. After I get a chorus and phaser I will quit pedals for a while. Unless…I can get my hands on a muff fuzz…then I’m done…for real…I hope!

    Prefereabily just your time haha. I think I’ll get a job soon or something. I really want a tele and a hoax.

    I don’t know yet. Probably a std MIM in white, but maybe a Highway One in blonde. I have a Highway One Strat that I absolutely love. I used to have an American Std Tele about 8 years ago that I gifted to a close friend. It was amazing, but I don’t think the difference in quality between MIA and MIM (except maybe electronics) is significant enough for me to want to spend the extra bucks.

    Very true, but I have been playing for a long time and am not too bad. I think that is why I recently got into the whole effects side of things.

    i hear you… i don’t have the same problem as you, simply because i don’t have the money…

    although i’ve got another problem… i have a trouble keeping my pedals… especially distortions, it seems that after some time it just doesn’t work for me anymore – for example now i’ve got a Visual Sound Jekyll and Hyde… i love the distortion side but from the very beginning i’ve had a problem with the overdrive sound – the TS overdrive just seems too colouring my tone for me… also it’s not as bright as i’d like to have it (its very vintage)

    so i’m selling and i’m gonna buy me some Fulltone GT-500… the OD/boost side seems much more respectful to your clean sounds and the distortion side sounds like a very nice medium gain distortion – and thats exactly what i want, because i can get higain from my big muff stacked with some OD before it

    but i don’t think i’ll keep it… there’s gonna be some problem one day… and i know it :(

    haha, i was just thinking today that a telecaster would be a great guitar to have. but i’ll probably get one after i get another toronado. probably both in sunburst.

    If I ever make it big, the price of sunburst Teles will skyrocket. 😆 I wouldn’t be too worried, though… ;)
