I’ll post more pics later. my computer is being kinda slow today. I can’t get the pics smaller so just copy the url without the star and you should be able to see it.
I used a replacement strat neck, soapbar P-90’s, a top loading bridge, a Gibson 3 way pickup selector, Dunlop stap locks, and Grover locking tuners. It plays really good and sounds amazing. The only thing i don’t like is that it hums, but you get that with single coils.
Very cool! I love the finish, it’s beautiful.
I dig it
Thanks , I used 2 coats of tung oil, but I didn’t really like it, so i got this spray varnish stuff and used two coats of that. then steel wool and wax. and then i polished it.
Nice guitar, wish I could make a guitar!
I fixed the hum of my guitar!
I always thought it was just the pickups but I put that copper shielding in the pickup pockets and grounded it, and then added a ground from the bridge. and then i changed the input jack and it’s quiet now!
BlueSteel, that is one beautiful guitar. Just looking at the pictures I can hear it playing. Maybe we should address you as the Blue Luthier from now on.
And, if you don’t mind, I did a quick one/two on the first picture in your links so that all here can admire your work which really deserves to be seen!
Thanks WatsonWood!
My pleasure.
Sweet dude! I’m now going to have to post my little green baby I made.
Very nice! I love the finish, it looks great and i bet it sounds great too! Wish I could give it a listen!
Thanks!
It sounds really great. I can get really awesome tones/sounds out of it and my pedals
Nice guitar mate…… good stuff. :thumb:
