    I have 4 loose EH El84 power tubes which a friend gave me. He thinks the are matched but not sure. Is there an easy way to tell from the box if they are matched?

    you have to test them with the proper equipment
    you could have an amp tech test them for you
    because tube matching devices are quite expensive

    shouldn’t cost much, barely any work at all

    Thanks unfortunately I don’t have the equipment. I know that some tube makers mark their matched sets so I was hoping that the markings on the box had similar info.
