I recently bought a Pitch Fork. I love the pedal, but I just have a question regarding the detuning function.

When I use it to detune to, say C, the effect introduced some sort of reverb type artifact effect, which is quite undesirable and makes the notes I play sound muffled and even delayed (compared to the attack).
Do you have any suggestions on how to reduce it – say play on single coils / humbuckers or any particular pickup (neck or bridge)?

Also, would you suggest to place the Pitch Fork before or after dirt pedals for the best tracking?

    Thanks

Never noticed the issue youre talking about with detune.

As for the pedal order, i usually put it before dirt pedals but not always. I have an MXR Blue Box and i think it sounds better with pitchfork after blue box.

So are you saying you are not experiencing any latency, reminiscent of a delay / reverb compared to the dry signal?
I have tried it before and after dirt pedals. I have a fuzz, an overdrive and a distortion pedal.
The latency that I mentioned earlier is always there. This has an effect on the attack of the note.
I use the pedal to play No One Knows (which is in C), so detuned 2 full steps down. Because the song is so percussive and truncated, the latency comes through really strongly. so I’m having to almost hit the strings before the beat.
Perhaps I can film this and post a clip.
