Hello everyboy,
I was perfecting the alignment of the caps on the pot’s when suddenly the shaft of the feedback
broke off…
Now opening the unit up is no problem but I just can’t manage to get the PCB out of there with all screws that are gone including input and output, all pot screws…
I hope to replace the potmeter properly but I can’t manage to get the PCB out, anybody knows some tricks to get it out safe and sound? I’m afraid to crack the pcb.
I wish I never pulled that cap of that feedback pot, I have the pedal for just a few hours.
thanks
Kenny
Hello friends,
I just figured it out myself, first use a flat screwdriver to get the sockets of the cables out of place.
Then you just need to plug in the adaptor socket in the back (make sure it’s not connected to the main outlet) and push really hard that it goes to the front. Then you can apply force on the potmeters to push it down. Worked well for me, I’m going to replace the pot now, all pots appear to be 5K B (lineair) except for the pushbutton pot.
Good luck if you break some pots! Make sure you take great care if you align them up with the rest.
If broken I suggest replacing them by alpha 16mm.
I wish ehx still used those unbreakable giant cts guitar pots. My old pedals still have the best feel on that. But I guess it’s all about taking up space these days on pedals boards.
All the best
