Home › Forums › Help/Technical Questions › How to adjust (or replace) a knob on the Stereo Memory Man with Hazarai?
I recently got a Stereo Memory Man with Hazarai and I love it. However, I noticed that when I turn all the knobs down, all but the delay button go to about 7 o’clock. The delay knob’s minimum is at around 8 o’clock. Similarly, when I turn all the knobs to their maximum position, all but the delay button go to up 5 o’clock. The delay goes up to 6 o’clock. Otherwise the pedal is working just fine.
So, I have the feeling that my delay knob is ‘one hour early’ and needs to be adjusted. I’d rather not break anything of course. Can anyone tell me how to adjust this knob? Do I just pull the knob off? Or does the unit need to be opened?
Thanks in advance.
ok…..
you can just remove the knob, turn the pot to the furthest position (either full up or down) and push the knob back on so the line ‘lines up’ to where it should be….
BUT!
be very careful removing the knob, they are pushed on with a machine at the factory and are very very tight….if you aren’t carefull you could snap or bend the pot shaft (or worse!!)
you want to put something under the edge (like a small flat screwdriver, blunt knife, whatever you have around) and ease it off very gently turning the knob each time to loosen it slowly all around the knob, you might want to put a piece of coth under whatever you are using to prevent scratching the paint.
…and I’ll say it again, take it slowly and be careful not to put too much force into it, just wiggle it slowly a bit at a time and it will loosen allowing you to remove it.
Thanks, it worked!
No problem, glad to help.
