My lifetime mentor recently died, and I inherited a bunch of random interesting objects including this mint condition Bad Stone Phase Shifter. Now i know nothing about Phase Shifters, or guitars for that matter, so I was wondering how much does one of these, mint, without and scratches or rust It even has the original grip pad on the bottom of it, and the vinyl/leather wrap on the outside is mint. go for?

That’s awesome. I’ve never seen one of those.

It’s worth whatever you get for it really. The best you can go by is what the last one sold for, and on Ebay completed listings there aren’t any of that model.

I’ve seen at least 2 or 3 sell on eBay in the last year. If I remember, it seems they sold for less than $200. I wouldn’t say that they were in high demand, like vintage Muffs or Electric Mistresses; but they are pretty scarce.

Yah and I pretty much already sold it.
Just wanted to get a ballpark estimate of its value.
I hope the buyer will put some real use to it.

That is the original 6 stage version which used 6 the now very hard to get 2N4302 FETs. I heard that a 4 stage version was suggested, to be called the Bad Face, but then I also heard that the Black Finger was originally to be called the “Brown Finger”!!

I was going to bid on that, but you pulled it because it was “lost or broken”…?

Who’s face is that on the pedal?
Had a later bad stone on loan for a few weeks,
I thought it knocked my stone for six.

Don’t know — I’ve always just heard it referred to as the “zombie face”. I always thought the Lamb’s Head looks like Mike Matthews…maybe this is Mike looking rough in the morning after a night on the town?

    Hahaha brilliant,
You might be onto something there, I do wonder where the Ram’s Head idea came from.

The face looks like the zombie from evil dead.

I just got my zombie Bad Stone off ebay…and it’s £%$%*ing dead. Not undead, just dead in the water.
    it is an ex-bad stone
The seller has shut up shop/closed their e bay account (or been booted off).
Anyone got a guts pic of one of these so I can trace the wires?
    Seriously bummed.

This pedal is no more! He has ceased to be! ‘E’s expired and gone to meet ‘is maker! ‘E’s a stiff! Bereft of life, ‘e rests in peace! ‘Is metabolic processes are now ‘istory! ‘E’s off the twig! ‘E’s kicked the bucket, ‘e’s shuffled off ‘is mortal coil, run down the curtain and joined the bleedin’ choir invisibile!! THIS IS AN EX-PEDAL!!

I’ll bet that there aren’t any rare components. Reviving it should be within reach.
