Hi all
Some time ago I purchased a Hot Tubes Overdrive pedal (the new one with valves) which I really like, especially the ability to go from clean all the way to crazy distortion and anything in between.
As well as going into an amp I would like to be able to use it as a preamp into a mixer and / or audio interface, but can’t find any specs on the output impedance.
Is it low or is it high (and therefore should I go via a DI) ?
Does anyone know the answer to this?
Thanks in advance
Being a pedal, it should go well with anything that takes a line ou type of signal.
Now, as a preamp into a mixer, you need to look at how your speakers will take it.
As an example, tweeters can’t handle the guitar signal very well. It will sound farty!!!
For an audio interface should be all good. I’ve done it with an Ibanez TK-999 (1 x 12AX7) as well as with several other pedals
