    This is the second Holy Stain I have owned, sold the first one for the reasons most people do, the lack of control of the dirt parameters, and the inability to keep the effects on while footswitching the dirt on and off. I just love the reverbs on it and the color and tone controls so much that I got another. I was wondering if anyone has successfully modded the dirt to be footswitchable while leaving the reverb, tremolo and pitchshifter on? Also I wonder how difficult it would be to mod the value of the sweep of the pitchshifter to extend to an octave? This pedal is almost GREAT….perhaps Puretube can pipe in here, seeing that he designed it….. :wave:

    I was wondering the same thing myself. I love this pedal and get great tones from mine, but do agree that it would absolutely be the bees knees if instead of bright , warm and dark, it had an actual amount of fuzz/distortion control pot.
    is it mod-able ?

    Hi guys , first time poster here . I ordered one Holy Stain from Crazy Dave’s ( E-Bay )Music Store
    1 & 1/2 week ago & it is waiting for me at the post office to pick up tomorrow , yay .

    I have been reading quite a bit of the forums pertaining to the HS & have discovered alot of people think the HS could do with some tweaking. I came across a thread here leading to a link to a
    guys blog that shows how he made a ” a pedal that you can switch between 3 different pitches. and connectable to the expression pedal port.”

    This might not be the mod ur after but the HS seems mod-able to an extent , hope someone on the forums here figures all the tweaks out & fills the rest of us in .

    Or maybe EH will release an updated HS II in the near future .

    yeah the owner of that site “iheart” actualy all ready posted a thread to that here all ready, its i nice tool, i also had made one similar to his, you can search the forum to find the conversation.

    that is a cool mod, but what I’m looking for is a mod to extend the range of the pitchshifter to +1/-1 octaves.

    you’d have to program the dsp [an FV-1, if you’re going to look up how to code] to do that. a which point it’s probably better to just go get a pitch shifter.
    There is a mod to get a chorus/flange effect and a delay + pitch shifter though. just google holy stain fv-1 and there should be a few forums it’s discussed at.

    THANKYOU – COMPANYMAN !! – i have a Holy Stain and i have been pulling my hair out – my GOD how AMAZING this pedal would be if you could control the dirt parameters and have the ability to keep the effects on while switching the dirt on & off !! – it seems so obvious to me- and can’t believe the designers missed this – somebody out there please help us MOD this pedal !!! :doh:
