I had a 2 second power outage at my place yesterday and when I went to play my guitar, I couldn’t use any pedals. Since my Holy Grail was plugged in and connected to my other peds, everything was fried. When I plug my guitar into the HG and into the amp, it will work when the pedal’s turned off. But when I turn it on, no sound at all will come out.
My Vox 847 Wah and my Boss Blues Driver both aren’t working anymore, just because the HG was plugged in. The Wah is making a high-pitched scream and the BD isn’t producing any sound at all.
What am I supposed to do? Are EHX’s products tested against power outages? My entire pedalboard is fried and I have no clue as to what happened…
I take it you weren’t on a surge protector?
You might be lucky. Maybe only your power supplies got fried.
So it still might work through another plug-in?
maybe
Uuuuuuugghhhh…..It didn’t work through another plug in. Do you know if it can be repaired?
Probably. I think EHX will repair just about anything, so long as they still make it or recently made it.
