I figured this is probably the best place to seek the answer to this question. My problem is with my holy grail in that when I turn on my board, the reverb effect doesn’t work. The knob still mixes the wet and dry, but there’s no “wet,” so it just decreases my volume. I have to unplug the jack from the pedal and plug it back in. Sometimes on the first try, sometimes it takes a few more, but after that it’ll start to work. From then on out it works fine until I power down and start all over again. I’m using the EHX plug for the holy grail, so it’s powered using the proper source. That source is plugged into a power strip which is plugged into the wall. I tightened the spot where the jack goes in, so I doubt it’s that. I guess I should I ad that when I plug the jack back in to get it to work sometimes there’s a quick spark.
Thanks in advance. I love the pedal and all the other EHX stuff I use, I just have no idea what would be causing this problem.
I have the same issue (albeit rarely) with my Holy Grail Plus. My educated guess is that something in the power supply circuitry (e.g. a capacitor) isn’t fully charged and the digital circuit doesn’t quite activate…bear in mind that’s totally a shot in the dark, but it’s all I can think of…
