I’m also really curious to see if these classic chassis pedals are going to be completely discontinued, or if we’ll just have the option to get either. If they’re entirely gone, I’m not selling any one I’ve got!

i hope they don’t discontinue the classic chassis. i’ve been wanting to get a holy grail, but been waiting a few months because i just got a phase 100 in february and now that they came out with the nano holy grail i’m debating weather or not to get the classic chassis or nano one. i like the looks of the classic chassis, but i like how the nano is smaller. and if they are discontinuing the classic one then i think ill get it because it might be worth something someday.

any suggestions as to what i should do?

Get the classic – and all the while you can enjoy the lush reverbs and the totally fun Flurb. Actually, I’d say the “F” in flurb is for fun, not flange.

I think that it’s not what it looks like but how it sounds that matters here. As long as they keep making them (personally I went for the Holy Grail + because for the tiny bit more you pay for it, it has so much more flexibility). :rawk:

Thanks guys, i think i’ll get the classic one, but first im going to get a micro synth, hopefully i can still find the old enclosures still, i think it looks better than the new XO one.

^^^ +1 – I think the XOs would look great if they just put some paint on them. What could it cost, a buck a unit?

As long as the LEDs are telling me roughly where the sound is coming from I don’t mind too much about paint jobs, just the sound!

    Hi Blue Steel,

I just tried the new Nano HG and it sounded real good-made some twangy/pingy noises though as plucked. Maybe more like kicking a real reverb unit. I suppose it might be the setting was to high, but I will have to do a comparison against my original HG and see which sounds better. I am always sceptical when it comes to rezising effects that were in larger cases, assuming the extra space accounted for the electronics needed to produce that sound. In any case, the nano HG is cool!

I play in the band Den Of Thieves out of the NYC metro area. We are currently looking into high profile management and A&R representation. Could you recommend anyone that would help us in relationship to record labels? Please visit us at our myspace page at myspace.com/denofthievesnj
