Ok. Looking at what this thing does:
Capable of all the sounds of the POG2.
Capable of the sounds of the Freeze pedal
Wah-wah
Expression controlled filterHere’s my big question:
Can I use the volume setting to make one preset into using this thing as an absurdly overpriced and over complicated volume pedal too? or do the expression paramaters only affect the various generated octaves? If I can’t, then that’s cool. But if I can, so much cooler.

When you set a voicing like cello or flute, the volume setting can come into play more. The freeze settings get more overall use, especially when your master portamento [gliss setting] with the exp pedal.

March 18, 2013 at 4:15 am #118843AdamSH89ParticipantJust to bump and make clear questions I’m asking:
1.) am I right in understanding that the “volume” setting for the expression pedal is applicable only to the generated voices, and not to the “dry output” or “master volume” parameters?
2.) What value does the potentiometer have to be to be compatible with the HOG2? 10k?
3.) [new question] what are the dimensions of the HOG2? is this sequel the same size as the first HOG?
Thanks all

Hi
1 – Yes, volume applies only for the generated voices. If you pull up “dry output” slider, this is not affected by the expression pedal action. I just tried it.
2 – I use a Boss FV500H in the expression connection, which is said to be 8.5K and it works perfectly.
3 – wide 9.25″, deep 6″, height 1.25″ the body, 2.5″ considering rubber feet and footswitches. -
