Tagged: HOG, power, power supply, won't power, won't turn on, won't work
I just got a used HOG, and it came with the power supply–9V, 500mA, Electro-Harmonix branded–but it won’t power on. I’ve tried it repeatedly, and in different outlets, as though that vain effort in troubleshooting would give me any different results. Bypassed signal goes through, although when I have gain pedals on just to hear some kind of hum as confirmation of signal, I hear an additional hum when I touch the pedal. As in, just finger to casing, there’s a noticeable hum that only exists when I’m in contact with the metal. Is this a grounding issue? Or could this problem be fixed with merely replacing the power supply? I really hope it’s that simple, because I was more excited about this X-Mas present than anything.
The HOG 1 and Hog 2 use different power supplies..
