Hello from Germany
I just joined this forum to find out more about the possibilty to modify
the Hog according to some ideas that came up using it in my setup.
1. Is it possible to ” trade” the 3rd octave to a 2nd detune ( like on the Pog , which i also own and adore) ?
2. Is it possible to “break out” the faders for fiths and thirds to control them with additional expression pedals ?
Right now i try out a Z-pedal ( pulled out of a Zoom 9.2Gtt)
to control to two things with one feet ( unfortuntely i happen to just have two)
3. seperate out for low octaves ?
if you like check :

My chain is:
split box ( dry to bassamp), Hog , Overdrive, Modded Wah, Boss Slicer, Holy Stain , Akai Headrush to guitaramp
Thank you
1. No.
2. Yes, someone did this mod for their POG’s LPF slider. It’s a pretty indepth mod, and I wouldn’t recommend doing it.

3. I’m not sure, it depends on if the mixing is done in the effect’s main chip or if it is done post chip. I’d expect the former, so I’m going to say probably no. The best solution would be to get a crossover.
The Rolls Crossover might be a viable solution, but I’m not sure if it will work on guitar pedal levels.
The Peavey BAC-2 is a chorus that has a built-in crossover. But you have to find it used.
