Hi, I’ve just bought this fantastic pedal and I have a question for you
In your opinion what’s the best placement in my pedalboard?
GUITAR-WHA-COMPRESSOR-OD-FUZZ-BOOSTER-CHORUS-ECHO-AMPLI HOG??
Thanks in advance
Anywhere after your compressor and before your chorus I’d say.
You also might want to experiment with using both the wet and dry outs on it. It can open up some new worlds of sounds.
I think if I use it for solos..it’s better after the booster . May I try.. but before od and fuzz.. i don’t think it’ll sounds good thx
Well then put it between the booster and the chorus then.
It’s really a matter of taste. Personally I like mine better before distortion, but having compression before it helps for some of the organ tones.
ok I’ll try both
I agree with Julian.. The comp helps out the organ sounds.. And you’d wanna put your chorus on the HOG effect for sure. Personally, I use mine after my OD (Guv’Nor) but before my fuzz (Little Big Muff). I also have an LBP-1 after the Muff for solos and such. I tried using the booster before the HOG, but found it was waaaay to easy to clip the HOG’s input.
Julian also mentions using the direct out. This is a great idea! I’ve been experimenting with sending the direct (unaffected) out to my POG 2. Only problem is, I can’t decide who gets to use the Muff!
Hope you enjoy your HOG. And I hope you got the foot controller for it to;)
TGM
very interesting.. so I’ll try the direct out to my Marshall Regenerator.. after a week I’ll change the position of the HOG in order to get other sounds
I like to send my direct out to my big muff, and then send my effect out to some modulation and delay.
and then? how do they get into the amplifier?
I think you’ll get a much more natural tone using it with dirt pedals if you put it after comp but before dirt.
I would put it right after the compressor!
yes, I haven’t tried it after compressor yet.. In this period i have no time.. exams…
You either run them through a mixer, run them through two different channels on your amp, or you run them through two different amps
ah ok thx..
