Not long ago I bought a EHX Hog.
It’s really great, and I have a lot of fun woth it.
The problem I have is that the expression pedal broke down (it’s not very solidly made of plastic).
I want to buy another because it’s rather essential for optimal use of the effects.
Could anybody tell me if just any expression pedal can be connected to the Hog?

    Regards,

I’ve always found expression pedals to be tricky. The M-Audio EXP is fairly disposable, but at least they can be picked up for about $20 on eBay every so often.

I have a vintage EHX Volume Pedal that is super-rugged and beautiful, and strangely enough it works great as an expression pedal for the Holiest Grail and the Tube EQ; but it doesn’t work with the HOG. I’m trying to figure out if there’s a mod I need to do to get it to work. If that was possible, I’d say that would be the best expression pedal of all.

DiscoFreq has a pic of mine at his site, thanks to electro-melx, who gave it to me as a gift :D : http://filters.muziq.be/model/eh/volume

The Moog EP-2 is supposed to be really good.

I know this is an old post, but I just wanted to say – I had the same problem. The little plastic nub that moves the potentiometer broke off after a single use.

After unsuccessfully trying to glue it back on, fruitlessly using the HOG without the pedal, and frustratingly looking for a new expression pedal that wouldn’t cost me ANOTHER hundred dollars, I actually tore open the M-Audio and fixed it myself.

I drilled a small hole into the pedal’s ‘arm’ and then inserted a small screw which takes the nub’s place. It was an easy fix, and now the pedal is 100% again.

I just thought someone out there might find this info useful. :)
