Hey guys and gals. I’ve owned my cathedral reverb for about 6 years(?) and I’ve switched from a dedicated wall wart to the power supply built into my SKB Stage 5 pedalboard. Now the CR shuts off after about 10 seconds. Is this a current draw issue, as in the SKB doesn’t have the juice to provide to the cathedral reverb? I hate having to use a wall wart with so many power options. Anyone experience this before? Wall wart I’ve used decided to die today, fyi regarding troubleshooting questions. No spare either.
Thanks in advance.
Keith
Looks like the SKB only puts out 100mA and the Cathedral requires 163mA so sounds like it’s likely the issue.
Most high quality digital effects are going to require more than 100mA.
Thanks, Scruffie. I came to that conclusion after I read on another forum someone with the same issue. Was on Voodoo Labs’ forum. Made me look at the psu output on my skb. Seems like I’ll have to make a cable to combine 2 9v outputs for more current. I appreciate the reply!
