Hi everyone, my name is jonah and i am looking for some help with a vintage polyphase and the envelope section. i am pretty handy with a soldering iron and have built some pedals my self so i dont mind doing the fixing, i am just totally stumped as to begin to even think where to look to fix this problem. the envelope section of polyphase is acting very weird. the env mod and env rate are working fine but the sensativity doesnt seem to be doing anything, i also dont think that it is acting like an “Envelope”, the phase part of the envelope section just stays on. curious if possibly a capacitor went bad or a wire shorted or something. thanks
First check that the pads for the pots haven’t broken loose from the rest of the traces.
i dont think that they have, but if so what is the best way to repair this
Use the continuity function of your DMM to check continuity from the control solder pad to the next pad along the trace. If it’s open, just solder a piece of wire between the control solder pad and the other pad.
