Can you try running just the Metal Muff, Marshall vibe, and Boss DD7 on the one-spot first? Cuz that’s what should definitely work, and if it doesn’t, you need to troubleshoot that before going any further.

Ok im a tad confused, my pedal rig was setup in the following order: my metal muff into my doctor Q to my small stone (both classic versions) running into my marshall supervibe, and finally my boss DD7, the boss, marshall and metal muff are all centre negative, and I was obviously using the 1spot vintage adaptors for the stone and the Q, as I mentioned in my first post the setup was not working, but also the LED’s were lighting up, and a very small amount of charge was coming through the pedal casings. I have actually proceeded to purchase 1spot polarity converter assuming I would need to put them in front of the vintage adaptors, however mentioned in this thread the vintage adaptors already reverse polarity, so have any of you guys got any idea as to why my rig is not working is it the digital boss being in the setup or do I need to have a separate 1spot for these reverse polarity pedals, I was getting the assumption from mr.grim that he runs many of pedals occasionally of a 1spot, im guessing including of both polarity, please help me with these queries friendsIt sounds like you had everything right with the powering…
What kind of audio cables are you using?

What kind of audio cables are you using?
2 custom made terminators with neutrik ends, they are quite short, and then in between some small patch cables, one is a warick. As I said before not only was I not recieving signal, but a small amount charge was coming through the casing and other metal parts on my pedals.

the stone and the Q centre postive the rest are negative, so I guess they dont want to be daisied with different polarities, the stone works 100% on its own however I think my Doctor Q is broken, in fact I think it may of been broken long ago, I thought it was a dying battery, however the LED was very bright, the pedals was sound pretty uneffective, and the range knob was doing virtually nothing, however the bass switch had an effect, now using an adaptor it is doing the same thing, either I’ve put the final nail in the coffin or it was already broken, Tbh not a favourite pedal of mine but still a pain in the arse if its broken.

Small Stone) with other pedals…
while the DC input on the Small Stone and others is a centre-positive mini-jack type, the circuit itself still has a negative ground.
If a pedal cannot be daisy-chained, it is usually stated in the instructions (and/or printed on the pedal itself).

The reason I asked about the cables, is that the only time I’ve ever had a charge from my pedals was when I had a dodgy cable.
I’m not saying that’s the case here, but it is a possibility.July 19, 2010 at 3:44 pm #110342electro-melxModeratorQuote:the stone and the Q centre postive the rest are negative, so I guess they dont want to be daisied with different polaritiesbut they aren’t really ‘centre positive’ … they are tip positive like all those mini jacks are and which is exactly what the one-spot converters are. It shouldn’t make any difference when you are daisy chaining. It’s just a different type connector not a reversal of polarity, a one-spot doesn’t care what type of connector you are using providing the positive wire of the power supply is connected to the positive on the pedal…. which it should be.
