Home › Forums › Help/Technical Questions › Help: Remove the On/off switch from Vintage Black finger cicuit?
Hi
can anybody tell me, if it is possible to remove switch?
Just got this vintage black finger with on off switch, that works really bad, doesnt look like a loose connection, think its worn… so i want to remove it from the cicuity, so the pedal is turned on constantly, is that possible without affecting the circuity?
The Black Finger works on 2 batteries. Depending on which circuit yours has, it could be wired for 18vdc or +/-9vdc. Either way, you could wire it so it’s always on but you’ll be going through batteries.
Either way, all you have to is solder a piece of wire between the 2 contacts on the switch. You could alsao fix the switch by disassembling it, cleaning the contacts with a pencil eraser, and re-assembling it. Takes about 10 minutes or less.
Thanks,
– cleaning the switch actually did the job…
