Hi,
Three days ago I bought a used EHX Cathedral from a guy on facebook.
The pedal came today and it doesn´t sound good.
Here is a video I made to show it to the guy that sold it to me:
So far the seller doesn´t seem to be considering taking responsibility of having sent a broken pedal.
He says I should use a DI box for using line level signals. I´ve read many people on the internet saying they connect their synths directly to the pedal without any problem.
I´ve also tried connecting other stuff to it and with different levels, always with the same result.
I´m going to try to get my money back, but seeing the things the seller says it I see that is going to be difficult. (For example, he told me to show him a video of a synth going through this pedal, and when I sent him this video he said “oh yeah, that one is the Cathedral MKII” <<<--- WHAT??? ).
So, what I was saying, I´m probably going to be stuck with it since the police is not going to do anything about a 120€ fraud. So I came here to ask, has anyone seen this problem before? Is it easily fixable at some EHX service center?
BTW, the power supply I´m using is the one that came with the pedal, it is an EHX EU9.6DC-200, 9.6V – 200mA
The pedal is broken from what I see.
Send it back or contact service at
Make sure you have the ins and out correct..
Cant tell your cables have plastic on one end and metal on the other…
Thanks! I´ll contact support, since the seller has decided to block me on all the ways of contact we had and it is way out of warranty.
Yes, cables are connected correctly. I made that one with the TS jacks I had a the time
