OK so my setup was my guitar into 4 pedals being powered by my EHX 9.6v DC adapter with a daisy chain adapter to split the power. Suddenly all 4 pedals died one of which was my three week old EHX soul food. I’ve tried my soul food running off of a brand new 9v battery and it’s still dead. I’ve tried the adapter into another pedal that wasn’t connected and it doesnt work either. The other pedal works fine on battery power… and worked fine connected to the EHX adapter previously. In fact this whole setup worked fine for the past week.
So did my adapter just surge and burnout 3 brand new pedals?
Which were those 4 pedals?
The biggest upset was my EHX soul food. The others were a Dunlop crybaby, a brand new outlaw effects quick draw nano delay and an outlaw vigilante nano chorus.
Ah, ok, I was wondering if there was a problem with polarity, but those all have the same polarity.
The only thing I can think of is that I was wearing staticy clothes and that it was caused by a static charge. There was a bit of a static crackle just before it happened.
Please write the service techs

So a little bit of an update. I took the Soul Food (and the other two pedals) into my local shop… and it turns out that the adapter blew and fried the pedal. Or at least thats what it appears to have happened. Thankfully the other pedals turned out to be OK. I’m a little disappointed as the Soul Food was only three weeks old when it burned out.
The shop also suggested contacting support as it’s practically brand new, before they have it worked on by their own techs. No point in voiding the warranty if I don’t have to.
So I emailed the support team when I got home.
You daisy chained the one supply?? You may have exceed the current limit the suplly is able to put out.
Its not built to be shared with multi pedals.
