    Hey there. I LOVE this looper! I use it with my voice. (so far just singing, I haven’t used quantization features yet)

    I also use ableton live and I want to link the two for performance.

    My goal is to use drums in ableton synced with the 45000 where I will sing and record the music.
    The looper needs to be “slaved” (I think) to ableton’s tempo. This way recording will sync up on beat with my drums.

    My ableton clips need to play while simultaneously recording voice into the 45000, syncing tempo.

    I have a MIDI in/out > USB cable. This should be my connection.

    I am confused and can’t figure it out. I know there must be an easy solution probably involving ableton MIDI/sync preferences and the 45000 ext. clock and quantize buttons.

    Please help!

    Have a blank MIDI track in Ableton. Make sure the I/O is visible on all your tracks (click the I/O button on the right side of the window). You should see a section in the MIDI track called MIDI TO. Set that to your MIDI to USB, and that literally should be all you need to do.

    You also need to make sure the Ext. Clock button is turned on in the 45000. Then press play or record on your 45000, and everything should blink. Then when you press play in ableton the 45000 should start playing/recording as well.

    I think I’m getting close but not working yet… a few question.

    I set MIDI to on “mio” which I guess is my usb cable. Do I also need to do MIDI from?

    Should the ext. Clock light be flashing or solid?

    When I try this the record button flashes really fast and isn’t capturing anything.

    Does the quantization button matter?

    Not sure what else to do, please help.

    I also tried these steps and found no answer, and noticing this person in 2014 gained no solution.

    Did they return the product?

    Are you having trouble syncing the 45000 to Ableton Live? Can you tell us a little about your setup? How are you connecting the 45000 to your computer would be a good place to start. What kind of MIDI interface do you have attached to your computer?
