Hi everyone. I’m new to the ehx forum, though I’ve been a fan of ehx for years. I have a question. Very little information is out there about this pedal I have. I was wondering if anyone had details about it. I have a EHX queen triggered wah. The only thing I know is that they are supposed to be rare and made in 1976. Any help? Thanks. B
More like uncommon than rare. They were made from around 1976 until around 1978. At least, that’s the last mention of them I find in my catalogs.
thank you Ron.
I would love to hear a soundclip of one. If I’m understanding correctly, it is a traditional wah with an envelope filter? Does it have a modulated wah as well?
Thanks for the interest. It is currently broken and I’m looking at getting it fixed by a pro if it’s not too much money. I rewired the battery connection (no AC jack, battery only.. ate them like tic tacs). But I remember it having a really good wah sound and the auto wah was great. I got mad when it broke the second time not soon after getting it serviced, so I filed it away, not even realizing at the time it was an EHX. I don’t remember it modulating at all though. I recently found it (I never throw anything away lol) after seeing one on ebay for an ungodly amount. It has tons of analog switches (big metal toggles) all over it to customize sweep width settings and frequency. Def. had an advantage over my Dunlop for tweaking. When I get it fixed I’ll see about recording some clips with it.
when I hear the words “triggered wah” I would think that it would be less like an envelope filter and more like triggered sweep filter on the Microsynth. I’m probably wrong though.
Bump!
I got one of these recently…anybody have anymore information?
How much would they really sell for?
Rpwhat makes them rare?
