The Hazarai (just drop the SMM, etc… no part 2 business…)

Big box effect (2880, Hog, Hoax — EHX still making these? Or is XO the biggest now?) anyways…

    As julian has stated:
    SMMH2
    *controllable rate in modulation mode
*external controller box to use looping features more conveniently, and select presets
    *undo function on loops
*have feedback control on loops make loops fade out naturally if not set to 100%, like on other loopers
*stutter function for looping ( ghost* momentary switch? )
    *trails ( ghost* on/off)
[*less modes- sliders so that more can be controlled at once
*ratios on the tap tempo ]

    And:

    • Effects order menu – to put the Mod before the delay; the reverb before the mod, looper before the delay, etc… ( 1,2,3,4; 2,3,4,1; 3,4,2,1,etc… )
    • Exp. in for feedback, delay time, filter (3-way switch)
    • Pitch shifted repeats mode
    • Dry output
    • Midi Tempo In

    The Foot Switch:

What would the 6 buttons be!? (haven’t put too much thought into this part…)

    • Fade Out
    • Reverse
    • Undo (for loop) / Redo
    • Preset 1
    • Preset 2
    • Prest 3

Okay, the Hazarai Delay/Looper (Chumley Edition)
Knobs, left to right, top row:
    Blend
    Time
    Repeats
    Decay
    Filter
    Mod Depth
    Mod Rate

So far, so self explanatory. Next row of knobs:

    Clean Level
    Dub Level
    Repeats
    Decay

Next, two switches and one button/switch:
    3/4/5/7 (Selects time signature)
Dry Delay/All Delay/Dub Delay (Whether the dry, dub or both signals of the looper go through the delay)
    Save/Preset (Standard, as with POG2)

There are then 16 LEDS below that. When the preset knob is moved, they switch to display the active preset, and when not, they display the step of the loop the player is on.

The six switch controller comes with the pedal and has the following functions, going clockwise from top left:
Mode Select (Controls Looper, Controls Delay, or Switches Preset/General Mode)
    Stutter Loop Backward/Reverse/Up Preset
    Stutter Loop Forward/Triplet/Down Preset
    Clear Loops/Dotted Eight/Record Loop
    Undo Last Loop/Thirty Second/Undo Loop
    Loop Record/Tap Tempo/Tap Tempo

Well, that post makes next to no sense…

good ideas. I’d like to see Midi ports, and silent footswitches.

I’d like to see a different preset system like that on the POG2. The SMMH has way too many possible sounds for the small amount of presets it has.

I’d really enjoy a SMMH with midi tempo, yeah!

1.to add to that- sort out volume loss!

2.make loop a stop/start switch instead. i dont know who else likes having to hold down the switch to record, on other loopers i love running off to other instruments and pedals in sound-on-sound looping which you cant do. plus its harder to get the end of the loop in time when you have to release it to stop a dub.

    3. not having to go to bypass to switch off loop play… i might still want delays after i stop the loop!

    4. easier way of erasing loop w/out bypass, and ability to undo the last loop played so a whole wall of sound isnt screwed up by a wrong note.

    5. just making the looping section more independant… if you have the repeat knob set for your echo sound, then start a loop it will keep that setting, and start making the last loop attenuate- it would be easier if the looper had no attenuation of the previous loops unless you actually change it(i expect most people use that)

    6. some kind of ‘compression’ to the loop, because if i build up a sound it just gets louder and louder when i put new parts in and overdrives the amp. this is ok for one-man-band things, but not so much for shoegazey layers… my boss gt6b, which i replaced with this had no problem here, but i find th hazarai i keep having to reach for the blend knob. just some consideration of practical levels somehow- i guess compression, or volume change depending on how many loops are added.

maybe a ‘memory man 2880’ or ‘memory man 16 sec’ could be a good combination…

Yes, stomp down and release up is extremely awkward and unnatural however electronically correct it may be. It often has me off balance, especially when using the Crying Tone at the same time with my other foot.

THAT explains why The Mars Volta are so silly looking in concert… :P

Well, folks, I do not have a degree in tap dancing, however I do have many years on-the-job training in the art of playing an Electravibe with dampening pedal (right foot) at the same time as stomping and wah-ing on up to 18 effect pedals n a double-linked effect chain (left foot)…and yes, I was known to adopt some fairly silly positions when doing so.
