Hi,
I have had two different Green Russians now and they both have had a constant rustling, wind type noise when engaged. Also when sweeping the tone knob back and forth the rustling gets more pronounced. It is loudest with the tone rolled all the way counterclockwise.
It was very loud on the first unit which was returned, the new one has the same noise just not as loud.
This isn’t the normal hiss that you get with high gain or 60 cycle hum.
I am wondering if the pedals are picking up some kind of electrical interference.
Are muffs more prone to picking up outside interference?
I have tried it with different power supplies, batteries, guitars, amps, cables etc. And it doesnt seem to matter if the pedal is run by itself or with others.
The noise is also present with the guitar volume at 0, or no guitar plugged in at all.
Just wondering if all the green russians are like this or if I just happened to get two bad ones.
Thanks for the help.

Hi, I know this is quite old, but my GRRI has this noise, I haven’t noticed before today as it’s been in the drawer for some time.
Did you get a positive response from EHX Support?
Thanks
