Hi, I found a disassembled Green Big Muff on Craigslist the other day for $30, needless to say I bought it. Anyway, the guy before me had taken all the wiring out and was going to do the true bypass mod, got frustrated, and decided to sell it. When I picked it up nothing was attached. To get to the point, I believe I have everything connected right (believe being the key word). When I plug it it, it bypasses nicely, but there are some problems when it’s turned on. The fuzz sounds more like a light overdrive, and when I roll the volume back on my guitar it cuts out. To be specific, at 8-10 it sounds like an overdrive, at 5-7 it cuts out and the LED goes very dim, then at 0-4 the LED gets brighter than at 10 with no sound of course. I would be forever grateful to whomever can help me on this. This is my first mod, and clearly I was in over my head. I’ve already spent 3 days pulling my hair out trying to figure this stuff out.
