Through years, i used to find “the” real sound through my Big Muff`s.
The first thing i tried, was a Birdy, that i modified for little more
bass response. Then i found some different compressors in auktions.
The result was a sound, that has enough edge and still rocks.
Now a gave it a try to the brand new Graphic Fuzz and it`s still able
to recreate all the sounds, i former produced with 3 pedals together.
What a visitation. It`s not a frumpy trick, it`s modern music.
I use my Graphic Fuzz as a base sound last in the chain closest to the amp, I then stack various pedals into it like the OD Glove, Hot Tubes, East River Drive, Soul Food, TS9 or whatever. I usually keep the Overdrive Slider down fairly low when I cascade pedals into it. I get the in your face articulation that I want with the Big Muff violin type sustain. The 6 Band EQ makes for infinite tonal possibility’s.
That was a good idea.
Now i stack some Big Muff into the Graphic Fuzz
with the slide control of the Fuzz down.
The other slide controls give me infinite
possibilities to create a good sound.
