Technically a re-release of the vintage Graphic Equalizer. I have been out looking for a graphic equalizer pedal and not having a lot of luck finding what I need. The Graphic Fuzz / Micro Synth enclosure and sliders is already the perfect size, so it wouldn’t been hard to make it happen!
It only needs to have:
Excellent frequency ranges. Ideally it would have 10 bands; enough to contour very low bass frequencies and very high treble frequencies with enough usable midrange control. A wide range would let it be great for both bass and guitar.
Quiet Operation. Any EQ pedal will get hissy or noisy when you really boost the hell out of some frequencies or all, but as long as it’s not a problem at moderate levels.
Some really cool features would be:
High Enough Gain To Use As a Boost Pedal. If the pedal had enough gain in the output range slider, it could easily double as a boost. I used to use a Boss Bass EQ pedal for this purpose and it worked very well. If the EQ pedal could accept more than 9v for more headroom that’d be cool too.
Variable EQ Profiles. How cool would it be to have a switch (or footswitch) change the EQ frequency range? So you could essentially choose to have different frequencies in the EQ ranges.
Presets. Don’t know if this is even possible with an analog pedal, but the layout for adjusting presets on the POG2 would be excellent in a good graphic equalizer.
Stereo In / Stereo Out. The ability to use the EQ on multiple inputs or in stereo would be really cool. Multiple outputs would make it even more flexible for routing.
Thanks!

July 5, 2011 at 1:43 pm #115890CryabetesParticipantor a three-band fully parametric EQ. use the knobset system from the Talking Machine, and each band having bandwidth, frequency and boost/cut controls. probably have enough space over for an overall level control too.

That is the correct hz to give guitar that bigness to lo-register without sounding mushy. When used in the loop. Not that damn 100 hz which every single graphic EQ pedal has. 80 hz slightly boosted in the loop gives the same deepness to the tone as Fryette’s/VHT’s depth pot on 2/90/2 poweramp.
And EHX really need a good tuner. Something similar as Korg’s Pitchblack but in EHX style.
