Hello. Apologies if this has been covered in another topic. I searched but couldn’t find it.
During loop playback with my Grand Canyon, there is a distinct moment of silence at the loop point (when the green light blinks). It occurs in all scenarios I’ve thought to try, but here is the most basic.
Physical setup:
– Grand Canyon reset to factory settings
– GC plugged with factory plug directly into wall
– Synthesizer (have tried multiple) 3/4″ output to GC 3/4″ input
– GC L/R outs to 3/4″ TS -> TRS Y cable
– Y cable to 3/4″ TRS headphones or computer speakersActions taken:
– Tap mode button on GC until only Looper is lit (behaves the same in Delay+Looper mode)
– Select basic, continuous, unmodulated tone in synth
– Hold synth key to play tone
– After tone has been playing for a full 2 seconds (well after attack), press and release Tap/Loop switch on GC
– Looper begins recording
– Wait 5 seconds while continuing to hold key to play tone (or any amount of time)
– Press and release Tap/Loop
– Release synth key well after press / release of Tap/Loop
– Recording stops and recorded loop begins playing
– When loop loops (green led blinks) there is a very clear cessation of the recorded tone (no fade, just stops; there is silence for a little less than a quarter of a second) before it restarts.Has anybody experienced this? I couldn’t find anything online, and all videos I’ve watched show it working as expected. Am I doing something wrong?
If helpful, I could post pictures and video, in the next day or so.
Thank you very much for any suggestions.

December 6, 2021 at 8:07 am #186583EHX STAFFKeymasterPlease check you have erased the loop first:
ERASING A LOOP
1. To erase a loop, playback must be stopped. If a loop is playing, press
the footswitch two times quickly to stop it.
2. Press and hold the footswitch for 2 seconds to erase the loop memory.
The LED will blink red six times then remain off, indicating that the
loop is erased.
3. Note: the ERASE function is only available when the loop has
recorded memory, as indicated by the dim green LED.December 6, 2021 at 8:47 pm #186608shoe2010ParticipantThank you for the reply and suggestion. I followed your steps to erase the loop, but I have been starting from no loop in memory (MEM light not lit), so unfortunately there was no difference in outcome.
I’ve posted a link to a quick video showing what I’m experiencing. You can see and hear at least two loops; Sorry for also being able to hear my kids in the background.

Please let me know if I can provide any further information, photos, videos, etc. Thank you.
