Who is into Goth? Who is out of Goth? Favourite Goth bands?
As a starter, here is one of my favourite Goth numbers at the moment:
Wrath of the Raven’s Dance / Eel Marsh House
I’ve always been a fan of Bauhaus…they are about the only band I really like that I would say were a goth band.
….I also like The Cure and Siouxsie & the Banshees (who I wouldn’t personally class as ‘goth’ but both had their gothy periods I suppose in the mid 80’s)
I guess that’s more Gothic Punk though, I have no idea what that that music you just posted is!!!
oh and…..
Bauhaus – Dark Entries
Not bad, sounds like heavy Bowie. Early Sisters of Mercy?

Good atmospheric performance.
ummm, The Cure? i guess i’ll go with that.
I love a lot of Goth/Post-punk, like Bauhaus, Cure (marginal goth), Siouxsie Sioux & The Banshees, Clan of Xymox, etc.
But nothing, I mean nothing, compares to Dead Can Dance’s Within The Realm of The Dying Sun. “Persephone, the Gathering of Flowers” is one of the greatest compositions ever written in any genre
I went through a goth/post-punk phase. I still like it, but don’t really care to hear more than I already know of.
I like Bauhaus, Fields of Nephilim, Joy Division, Birthday Party, early Human League and some other stuff like that from around then.
